Obituary for Edward J. Ouellette

Edward J.  Ouellette
Edward J. Ouellette, 89, of Stuart, FL, passed away on February 27, 2017 at the Gardens of Port St. Lucie.

He was the son of the late Wilfred Ouellette and Theresa (Boutin) Ouellette. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he had been a resident of Stuart FL since 1978 and for many years spent the summers in Murphy, NC.

As a World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1948. He then retired from the U. S. Naval Reserves after almost 30 years of service.

Prior to retiring he was a manager in the automotive industry. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing pool.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was a man of great faith and had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart.

Survivors include his sons, Thomas Ouellette of Tucson, AZ, Mark Ouellette of Jensen Beach FL and Joel M. Ouellette of Palm City FL; his daughters, Linda Messier of Vero Beach, FL and Melanie Millette and her husband Bruce of Okeechobee, FL; his brother, George Ouellette of San Diego, California; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Ouellette in 2016 and his brother Roland Ouellette.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City, FL with a Vigil Prayer Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors.
